Department of Pathology & Forensic Medicine
The pathology and Forensic Medicine branch was established in 1989 as part of the College of Medicine / Al-Nahrain University, and since then the branch perform the following tasks: 1. Teaching third year /undergraduate students’ pathology material. 2. Teaching fourth year/undergraduate students forensic medicine material. 3. Teaching fifth year/undergraduate students surgical pathology material. 4. Teaching fifth year undergraduate students medical ethics material. 5. The branch also gives master's degree in the following specialties (pathology / pathological tissue, pathology/ haematology, pathology / forensic medicine). 6. The branch also gives doctorate degree in the following specialties (pathology / pathological tissue, pathology / haematology). The branch is also connected with each of Iraqi and Arabic Board of Pathology, and contributes to the training of students in the teaching hospital.

**Chemical Safety and Security Monitoring Committee at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine**

The committee convened to identify the available chemical substances in the department, determine their toxicity and hazards, establish their expiration periods, and electronically archive this information.

The Weekly Meeting of the Arab Board of Pathology/Histopathology Students on 2024/6/2

In the context of training students of the Arab Board specializing in Pathology, the weekly meeting was held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, to discuss medical cases with the attendance of students from the first, second, third, and fourth stages of the program.

Under the supervision of the council's supervisors and trainers:

1. Dr. Ban Jamea Qasim, Head of the Imamain Center for the Arab Board.

2. Assoc. Prof. Nora Kareem Mustafa.

3. Dr. Rafah Mohamed Jaafar Al-Khatib.

The following cases were discussed:

1. Testicular tumor.

2. Parotid salivary gland tumor.

3. Glomus tumor with immunohistochemistry (IHC).
